Umi, the cat, gives this Hotel **** FOUR PAWS for it's comfortable hiding accomodations and bathroom! There is plenty of head room and the hile-pile carpeting allows for great purchase with her nails. ANY CAT would be happy here.

Hello everyone. We are now in Vegas. I actually flew into Vegas to meet Kath and she drove in from San Diego. Umi made the trip with no problems. WE are staying at the hotel Ravella at Lake Las Vegas. A great hotel with nice accomodations (the rooms have paintings of fruit - har, har! I am hungry). The hotel is in Henderson - outside of the strip .. which is nice because I usually get overwhelmed in all the Vegas Cha-cha. KATH and I SWAM FOR ONE WHOLE HOUR! good for us...
This picture is actually of the Wind Turbines in Eastern Cali .. I love landscape photos from the sky... I love to paint them ... Actually, the green imagery at the right reminds me of a frog with big kick-ass boots and big legs. Or a lobster with big boots -- no?

Kath and I took a nice walk in the local village and ate at the Sunset Vines restaurant where our server kindly brought us frosted glasses of mineral water. He said his name was JOHN -- yeah right ... he saw me taking notes and I think it scared him. He started sweating after that and then I realized that maybe he is in a witness protection program ... :))

We had fun watching FREDO the gondolier crash the edge of his boat into the dock with his two young lover guests sitting quietly as everyone watched. Then the gondolier spoke some words and he sounded JUST LIKE Fredo from the Godfather - I immediately thought of the scene just after the mother dies and Fredo and Micheal are talking in the room in front of the lake... "I'm Smot! I got a brain!" ..... I think that is what FREDO say ... at least I translated the accent properly for "smart" ..
Tomorrow, we will take off early in the morning - have a haul to VAIL and relax from there ...
